Pharmacy Technician Trainee

About the role

Our pharmacy technicians are essential in building trust by delivering exceptional service that distinguishes Wegmans and meets the healthcare needs of our customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced setting
• Accurately calculate dosages and conversions using basic math skills, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies
• Troubleshoot and resolve insurance claim issues to support customer needs
• Efficiently input prescription information
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies
• Handle medications according to department policies and procedures

Requirements

• Proficient in computer and data entry skills
• Basic math skills, including unit conversions, for accurate dosage calculations and patient safety
• Problem-solving skills to address various challenges

Qualifications

Note to applicant: National technician certification and/or state registration may be required for some positions, but Wegmans supports employees through the process. Depending on location, certified technicians may receive additional compensation.
