Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals
- Perform inventory control
- Conduct compliance audits
- Manage financial transactions
- Provide excellent customer service
- Maintain pharmacy records
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team
- Adapt to a changing environment
- Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program
- 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school
- Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration upon hire
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record allowing for the Health System insurance carrier to cover the incumbent
Qualifications
- Teamwork and attention to detail are essential
Skills
- Sterile compounding or hazardous drug compounding experience preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced and high volume environment preferred

Pay
- Additional components of compensation may include: Evening and night shift differential, Weekend differential
Schedule
- 80% FTE
- Day/Evening Schedules
- Mix of AM and PM schedules, ranging 6:30AM – 11PM
- Weekend rotation required
- Work at University Hospital in Madison, WI
- Hours may vary based on operational needs of the department
