About the role

The Pharmacy Technician Specialist I assists pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications and is accountable to the supervising pharmacist who is legally responsible for the care and safety of the patients served by the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Engages in more complex medication distribution processes as needed.
• Handles additional department responsibilities as assigned.
• Functions in specialized areas of responsibility as directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work.
• Successfully complete pharmacy department orientation.
