Pharmacy Technician Specialist
Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician Specialist under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist performs functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution. Tasks may include non-sterile compounding, stocking automated dispensing cabinets, unit dose drug preparation, delivering medications to patient care areas, checking medication storage areas for outdates, and billing.
Qualifications
- Licensure/Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) with Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Pharmacy Technician Certificate, or Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate
- Experience: Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent

- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: As defined in competencies; ability to work accurately with attention to detail. Possesses communication, teamwork, customer service, computer, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Degree of Supervision Required: Minimal
