Job Duties
Ensures customer service and teamwork while conducting responsibilities
- Fills medication orders
- Charges/credits all medication, stocks, delivers, and inspects assigned areas
- Prepares IV admixtures and other extemporaneous compounds
- Enters TPN orders into the computer system
Physical and Environmental Demands
- Mechanical lifting devices (carts, dollies, etc.) or team lifts should be utilized
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity
- Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability)
Education and Certifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year hospital experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician license preferred
- Completion of a para-professional pharmacy training program or certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
