Pharmacy Technician Retail I
About the role
Assists the clinical pharmacists in providing an accurate and timely medication distribution system.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- License: Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician within 30 days of hire date, and registration must be in good standing “active”.
- National certification with PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians) required.
- In the case of PTCB or ExCPT renewal, “active” status must be attained within 30 days of the expiration of the current certification (this provides a 30-day grace period for the employee).
Additional Skills/Abilities
- Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
- Proficiency in basic math applications and analyses required.
