Pharmacy Technician - Providence Anchorage
Full-time, 1.0 FTE, day shift, 40 hours per week. Located onsite at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.
About the role
The Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in supporting Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist practice through handling appointments, gathering and documentation of patient information through interviews with patients, families, caregivers, pharmacies, and medical providers. This role provides expertise in prior authorizations as applicable and may administer vaccines when in scope for the practice site.

Responsibilities
- Support Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist practice by handling appointments.
- Gather and document patient information through interviews with patients, families, caregivers, pharmacies, and medical providers.
- Provide expertise in prior authorizations.
- Administer vaccines when in scope for the practice site.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Alaska Pharmacy Technician License (upon hire).
- National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification within 2 years of hire (as applicable).
- 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience if PTCB certified, or 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience if without National Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician program (may be required in some states for pharmacy technicians).
- 1 year of Customer Service experience.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $23.81 - $36.44 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
