Pharmacy Technician- Per Diem

About the role
The Pharmacy Technician 2 obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information, performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments, and performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
- Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs
- Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs
- Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer
- Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist
- May operate a cash register
Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization and timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies and practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation, deviation, and independent discretion.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of technical experience
- Active license with the Board of Pharmacy in Missouri and/or Kansas or willing to obtain
- This role is considered patient-facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program; if selected, you will be required to be screened for TB
- Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPhT or equivalent
Pay
The pay range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
$40,000 - $52,300 per year
