Pharmacy Technician - Long Term Care

About the role

Ebenezer Pharmacy is a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy located in Arden Hills, MN, specializing in packaging and distributing medications to nursing homes and assisted living facilities. We operate Monday–Friday 8:00 am–8:00 pm and Saturday–Sunday 9:00 am–5:00 pm, with every third weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescription information and accurately enter new orders into the pharmacy system, including reading, interpreting, and transcribing prescriptions.
• Answer incoming calls, address inquiries, and route information appropriately while providing high-quality customer service to residents, nursing staff, and physicians.
• Create and maintain resident profiles and prescription information.
• Process refills and order changes; handle insurance billing.
• Prepare, package, and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and pharmacy protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience and knowledge in data entry for pharmacy information systems.
• Mathematical skills including ability to calculate discounts, proportions, percentages, and volume; apply concepts of algebra to practical situations; interpret prescription quantities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Pharmacy Technician license in Minnesota.
• At least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Basic understanding of FrameworkLTC and ECM.

Pay

Pay is determined by skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions, with consideration for internal team equity; offers are typically below the maximum of the posted range.
