Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process prescriptions
- Verify prescription information
- Generate refill documentation
- Access and process data from pharmacy systems
- Establish and maintain patient profiles
- Transfer medication from vials to syringes
- Price and file prescriptions
- Mix pharmaceutical preparations
- Supply and monitor robotic machines
- Clean and maintain equipment/work areas
- Prepack bulk medicines
- Fill bottles with prescribed medications
- Prepare prescriptions for home delivery
- Prepare and process medical insurance claim forms
- Inventory administration
- Order and replenish pharmacy supplies
- Assist with inventory and cycle counts
- Customer service and patient relations
- Answer telephones and attend to walk-in customers
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) system
- Maintain and merchandise home healthcare products
Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacy Technician License
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
