Pharmacy Technician Instructor, Full Time

About the role

Northwest Career College is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician Instructor who must have at least three years of work experience in a pharmacy setting as a licensed Pharmacy Technician or pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Teach pharmacy technician courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus and as directed by the program supervisor.
• Assist students with difficult concepts in tutoring sessions.
• Grade student lab activities and practical examinations.
• Maintain a daily record of student attendance.
• Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College.
• Dress professionally in accordance with faculty dress code.
• Communicate effectively with diverse populations, both verbally and in writing.
• Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks and job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-overlapping experience in the pharmacy field (required)
• 1+ years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting (preferred)
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
• Current Pharmaceutical Technician License, Intern Pharmacist License, or Pharmacist License (required)
• PTCE [PTCB CPhT Certification] within 75 days (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Schedule

Full-time, daytime hours required:

• Monday: 8 am – 7 pm
• Tuesday: 8 am – 7 pm
• Wednesday: 8 am – 7 pm
• Thursday: 8 am – 7 pm
• Friday–Sunday: Off

Pay

$48,000–$49,000 annually (based on prior education and experience)
