Pharmacy Technician III

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician works in the Pharmacy Services Department at Griffin Memorial Hospital. Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacist in filling prescriptions, counting pills, receiving and completing inventory reports for medical and surgical supplies, typing labels, and distributing prescriptions to nursing stations.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist in filling prescriptions and counting pills
• Uses electronic pill counter
• Completes inventory reports for medical and surgical supplies
• Typing labels and posting all information on appropriate records
• Distributes filled and labeled prescriptions to nursing stations

Requirements

• Three years of experience as a pharmacy clerk
• Possession of a pharmacy technician permit issued by the Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy and/or other recognized pharmacy technician certification board
• Completion of thirty semester hours of college course work for each year of the required experience

Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy technician permit from the Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy or another recognized pharmacy technician certification board
• Completion of thirty semester hours of college course work for each year of the required experience
