About the role
The Pharmacy Technician II supports pharmacy operations within a health plan, performing technical tasks under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Handle call center functions with proper etiquette and documentation (50%)
- Assess and process prior authorization requests, referring complex cases as needed (30%)
- Triages and escalates questions or issues beyond technician scope (20%)
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma or GED required; pharmacy technician training preferred
- Minimum one year of pharmacy technician experience in healthcare or retail
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) and licensed by DORA required
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of pharmacy practices, prescription processing, and third-party billing; proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple tasks
Schedule
This role is remote, based in Colorado, with daytime hours.
Pay
Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $28.60 per hour.
