Pharmacy Technician II - Medication History 7 on/7 off

About the role

Transform healthcare by joining Carilion Clinic's pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician II - Medication History. This position is open and requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside medication history technicians and receive peripheral oversight from a medication history pharmacist.
• Contribute to the completion of a Best Possible Medication History (BPMH) for every admitted patient.
• Collaborate with pharmacy-led medication history program to support patient care.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience required.
• Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Registration with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certified Board Certification relevant to work area is required within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be able to maintain familiarity with a large number (1000-2000) of medications.
• Focused on attention to detail and accuracy.
• Customer service oriented.
• Knowledge and use of general office equipment and procedures, including computer/keyboard.
• Ability to solve simple mathematical and logistical problems in the work environment.
• Effective time management, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Minimum Qualification: Must be able to follow procedures with minimum supervision.

Pay

$21.61 - $30.25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

7 on/7 off shift, working evenings in Facility 1906 Belleview Ave SE - Roanoke.
