Pharmacy Technician II

Role: Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities: Assist pharmacists in delivering optimal pharmaceutical care by accurately gathering, labeling, and distributing medications. Prepare and safely compound medications, including hazardous substances, while managing controlled substances in compliance with regulations. Support drug diversion surveillance, train new staff, maintain medication inventories, and handle billing processes. Communicate effectively using established systems, considering patient age and ability. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months relevant experience. Proven ability to perform technical tasks, follow instructions, and work efficiently in a busy environment. Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and computer skills. Knowledge of math, the metric system, and attention to detail are essential. Post-secondary education is preferred. Must have current Pharmacy Technician registration and certification (CPhT), with PTCB preferred. No history of drug abuse or misuse. Additional Details: Full-time position with scheduled hours between 7am-10pm, including weekends and holidays. Compensation ranges from $20.98 to $29.19/hour, based on experience and education.
