About the role

The Pharmacy Technician II position at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center provides essential support to pharmacists, ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to patients. Key responsibilities include processing prescriptions, managing inventory, operating automated medication delivery systems, and assisting with clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, distributes, and delivers medications in accordance with policies and procedures, The Joint Commission requirements, and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of the department.
• Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels.
• Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices.
• Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains appropriate quality assurance documentation.
• Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, upon hire.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, upon hire.
• 6 months experience compounding of IV medication, upon hire.

Pay

The posted compensation range is $25.00 - $25.00 /hour.

Schedule

PRN - available for all shifts to include weekends and holidays.
