About the role

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to join our Order Management (Work Cells), Insurance Verification Call Team, and Patient Care Coordination Team.
Responsibilities
- Order Management (Work Cells): Process new starts, new orders, and refills requiring intervention to completion. Enter new orders into the pharmacy computer system, obtain necessary billing and clinical documents, adjudicate NCPDP online claims, and collect past due balances and patient's out-of-pocket expense for the current order. Notify customers of shipment.
- Insurance Verification Call Team (IVC): Verify insurance for orders being processed in the work cells. Call insurance companies to verify patient coverage, submit patient information online to verify patient coverage for those insurance companies that offer the online service, and meet IVC team turnaround time service level agreements with work cells.
- Patient Care Coordination Team (PCC): Contact Apria patients to offer APN pharmacy services and obtain demographic and billing information from prospective APN customers. Enter new accounts in the pharmacy computer system.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 3 years of pharmacy or related work experience
- Licensed and/or nationally certified technician or the ability to apply for and obtain a license in the state pharmacy is located.
