Pharmacy Technician I - Oncology Infusion - Days

Hourly pay range: $18.50 - $28.68. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

About the role

Position is per diem (as needed) with rotating 8-hour shifts: Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. Required travel between Kellogg Cancer Center infusion sites in Evanston, Glenview, and Highland Park.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; certification required within two years of initial licensure
• Prior technician or hospital experience preferred; on-the-job training provided for motivated candidates without compounding or hospital experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile compounded products for IV infusion (such as bags, syringes, pumps) in accordance with sterile clean-room regulations
• Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and medications for patient care
• Assist pharmacists in maintaining medication records and files
• Place medication and supply orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Other duties as assigned
