About the Role

The Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician prepares medications for patient consumption under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, adhering to federal and state laws and PANTHERx Specialty Pharmacy policies. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Supervisor, Fulfillment Pharmacist and may require varied and rotating schedules between 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m., Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacist(s) with fulfillment duties
  • Communicate with staff about inventory quantities for medication delivery
  • Fulfill prescriptions, including product receipt, lot tracking, counting medications, and shipper coordination
  • Organize medication product on designated shelves
  • Gather supply items included on delivery tickets
  • Create supply kits for specified programs
  • Communicate with RxARECARE and Core Specialty team members
  • Participate in additional projects and activities as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Registration as a pharmacy technician with the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy (unless holding a current PA State Pharmacist license). If not currently registered, you may initiate the process via the Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS) and complete training upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) licensure
  • 2–4 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician
  • 1–3 years of specialty pharmacy experience

Work Environment

This role operates in a well-lit, mail order distribution pharmacy environment and routinely uses pharmaceutical equipment and safety supplies.

Physical Demands

  • Stand for extended periods
  • Lift up to 20 pounds
  • Use computers and barcode scanners
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including gloves, eye protection, and face masks when needed
