Pharmacy Technician - Community, Compounding

Responsibilities

• Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients.
• Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy.
• Aid in extemporaneous and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over-the-counter items.
• Operate the point-of-sale cash register system.
• Monitor and act on reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription areas, and remove expiring products.
• Support multi-pharmacy operations as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA)
• Active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee

Qualifications

• Six months of hospital experience
• Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program
• Prior compounding experience

Skills

• Manual dexterity for computer and dispensing functions
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. while performing job tasks

Pay

Pay Range Minimum hourly: $21.50
Maximum hourly: $31.00

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, rotating 8-hour shifts between the hours of 6:30 am and 6:30 pm. Rotating weekend schedule approximately every 8th–9th weekend and a holiday rotation approximately once every three years.
