About the role

Works under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and assists with the activities and processes required to dispense prescriptions and provide quality, safe patient care.

Responsibilities

• Accepts new prescriptions and refill requests from patients, evaluates for accuracy.
• Triages telephone calls, answering patient questions when appropriate.
• Sells prescriptions to patients.
• Assists lead technician with inventory maintenance.
• Delivers quality customer service to every patient.
• Accepts and processes prescription transfers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience.
• Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire.
• Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
