About the role

The Pharmacy Technician at Fuze Health plays a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists, managing inventory, and ensuring the accurate and efficient fulfillment of prescriptions. Reporting to Pharmacy Operations leadership, this role is key to delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining compliance, and driving operational excellence across the pharmacy team within the respective FuzeRx location.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and fill medications in accordance with pharmacy practice guidelines and medication safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure product availability.
  • Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of patient records and prescription data.
  • Partner with pharmacists to address medication-related inquiries and support patient care initiatives.
  • Pack medications according to standard procedures and coordinate deliveries, including obtaining refill authorizations from physician offices.
  • Work with internal teams to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall patient experience.
  • Manage assigned pharmacy tasks and workstations to promptly, safely, and accurately complete prescription orders.
  • Adhere to pharmacy laws and regulations governing technician responsibilities, and follow all company policies.
  • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) established by leadership to ensure operational and quality benchmarks are achieved.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, technology tools, and pharmacy trends to maintain a high standard of performance.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience as a pharmacy technician (preferred).
  • 1+ year of retail pharmacy experience in a high-volume setting (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of pharmacy laws and technician-specific regulations.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy technology systems and willingness to learn new tools.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, work at a computer for extended durations, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and patient support.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods.
  • Move frequently around the pharmacy, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies.
  • Make frequent repetitive motions to operate a computer and other pharmacy equipment.
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Effectively communicate through verbal interactions, discern auditory information, and visually perceive details to perform essential job functions.

Pay

$20.00–$28.00/hr
