Pharmacy Technician - Benefit Verification Specialist

About the role

This is an onsite, benefits verification-based pharmacy technician role at our Cockeysville, MD Pharmacy (10 Warren Road Suite 220, Cockeysville, MD 21030). The position focuses on benefit verification and claims processing, with additional support for pharmacy operations and troubleshooting prescription processing hurdles.

Responsibilities

• Perform benefit verification and claims processing for patient prescriptions.
• Partner with pharmacy operation teams to troubleshoot issues related to prescription processing.
• Assist with day-to-day pharmacy operations and other activities as directed by a supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician license or registration in the applicable state of employment.
• Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Pharmacy Technician Association (preferred) or completed within six months of hire date.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated excellent planning and communication skills.
• 3 years of Home Infusion / Specialty Pharmacy practice experience (preferred).
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and provide accurate information in a dynamic environment.
• Good judgment in evaluation situations and advising in accordance with laws and regulations.
• Strong work ethic with personal qualities of integrity and credibility.

• Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.

Schedule

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (no weekends).
