Metro Market, now part of The Kroger Company, seeks to serve its customers in 16 stores across Wyoming. We aim to provide the ingredients needed for success in both personal and professional life.

Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations
• Report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud
• Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers
• Understand and follow company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of all medications, devices, supplements, and supplies
• Maintain departmental standards including keeping clean and organized work stations and customer waiting areas
• Count, measure, and prepare specified products using company best practices
• Complete billing procedures adequately to ensure best value for the customer and the company
• Answer phone and triage calls, answering inquiries appropriately
• Understand and adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, limits on cash shortages, and company shrink guidelines
• Understand and follow company guidelines on the operation of the cash register and cashier handling policies to prevent loss, including tendering electronic fund transactions such as Credit/Debit Cards, EBT, and Gift Cards, as well as cash and check transactions
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist’s professional judgment
• Understand and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and company policies regarding the same
• Support company health and wellness initiatives
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries
• Work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational, and cooperative manner
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years old
• Ability to handle highly confidential information
• Meet minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position

Desired

• Previous comparable experience
• EPRN familiarity
