We are accepting applications to build a pool of prospective candidates for anticipated future openings.
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmacy and/or clinic support for the InnovAge – Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).
- Access, input, and retrieve information from the computer, including but not limited to patient demographic information and medication data entry.
- Process delivered pharmacy orders when available.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of medications sufficient to operate the clinic/pharmacy.
- Answer the telephone and transfer calls to the appropriate individual.
- Remove outdated, damaged, and recalled merchandise and prepare for return.
- Maintain all clinic or pharmacy areas in a clean, neat, and orderly manner, including maintenance of supplies at an appropriate level.
- Perform various clerical duties as necessary.
- Prepare requested OTC medications to be delivered to the participant for final review by a licensed clinic staff member.
- Ensure medications for participants are packaged, labeled, and ready for delivery by the Pharmacy Courier in a timely manner.
- Track medication receipts received from the Pharmacy Courier and communicate with the pharmacy to ensure participants received their medication(s) in a timely manner.
- Review newly printed Medication Administration Records (MARS) and assess and correct information to ensure data is current with physician orders in the electronic medical records.
- Place reviewed MARS in appropriate binders and perform a second check of new MARS in comparison to the previous month’s MARS and in comparison to medication in the cart.
Requirements
- Current state Pharmacy Technician registration with the Board of Pharmacy.
- 1+ year working in a pharmacy.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Bilingual.
- Pharmacy Technician certification from either the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT) or the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
