Job Purpose and Summary
We help people navigate the health care system and their personal health care by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner for every meaningful moment of health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
- Support the pharmacy team in safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Show empathy and genuine care by creating heartfelt and personalized moments, offering immunizations, and demonstrating compassionate care
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by completing basic inventory activities, as permitted by law
- Embrace a growth mindset, be flexible for both scheduling and business needs, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
- Support additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and volunteering at offsite clinics
Requirements
- Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Complete required training within designated timeframe
- Have attention and focus, and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
- Perform physical demands, including lifting and reaching
Qualifications
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- Must have state-level licensure and national certification requirements, which vary by state
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
