As a new Pharmacy Technician, you will complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to your State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines. Initially, your duties will be restricted until you complete these requirements. Once fulfilled, you’ll have opportunities to expand your clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge and expertise, building your pharmacy career.

Responsibilities
- Ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for patients.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team’s ability to fill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Provide caring service that exceeds customer expectations.
- Complete the CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all state-specific licensing and certification requirements.
- Expand clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge through available tools and training to advance your pharmacy career.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Licensure requirements vary by state.

- Customer Service Orientation: Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner; notice and respond appropriately to customers’ reactions.
- Communication Skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication; actively listen by giving full attention, asking questions, and not interrupting.
- Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to use math to solve problems, such as calculating the day’s supply of a prescription.
- Problem Resolution: Identify when something is wrong or likely to go wrong; choose the best course of action in complex situations.
Physical Demands
- Remaining upright on your feet for sustained periods.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, including moving between work areas.
- Using fingers for tasks such as picking, pinching, typing, or working with small parts.
- Extending hands and arms in any direction.
- Bending the spine downward and forward; stooping to a considerable degree.
- Expressing or exchanging ideas through spoken word; conveying detailed or important instructions accurately.
- Perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels and receiving detailed information through oral communication.
- Close visual acuity for activities such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs; exerting up to 30 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, or negligible force constantly.
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred:
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- PTCB National Certification.
Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $18.00 - $28.00 per hour. The actual base salary offer will depend on factors such as experience, education, geography, and other relevant considerations.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with an anticipated weekly commitment of 30 hours.
