Job Purpose and Summary
We help people navigate the health care system and their personal health care by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner for every meaningful moment of health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
- Support the pharmacy team in safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Show empathy and genuine care by creating heartfelt and personalized moments, offering immunizations, and demonstrating compassionate care
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by completing basic inventory activities and expanding clinical and technical knowledge
- Support additional patient health care services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and volunteering at offsite clinics
- Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles, and adhere to CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and security
Requirements
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- Must complete required training within designated timeframe
- Must have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Must have attention and focus, customer service and team orientation, communication skills, mathematical reasoning, problem resolution, and physical demands
Qualifications
- Must have 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Must have previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Must be able to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
