Job Purpose and Summary

We help our customers and patients navigate the health care system by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner. Pharmacy Technicians play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise. They assist in operational excellence, prescription fulfillment, and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Follow company SOPs at each workstation to manage and improve patient health
  • Support pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
  • Show empathy and provide personalized care at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone
  • Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership
  • Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand knowledge
  • Be flexible for scheduling and business needs, maintaining a safe and inclusive team dynamic
  • Support additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing
  • Support immunizations by obtaining Technician Immunizer status, educating patients, monitoring adverse reactions, and managing vaccine supplies

Requirements

  • Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
  • State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Attention and focus: ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly
  • Customer service and team orientation: actively look for ways to help people and respond appropriately
  • Communication skills: use and understand verbal and written communication
  • Mathematical reasoning: ability to use math to solve problems
  • Problem resolution: identify and choose the best course of action for challenging interactions
  • Physical demands: be mobile, remain upright, lift, scan, and bag items, reach overhead, stretch, and bend

Qualifications

  • Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
  • Must be at least 16 years old if state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
  • State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
  • Must complete required training within designated timeframe
