About the role
SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy offering pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician/ADS who can work independently, maintain accurate information, and perform various tasks including inventory management and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain active communication with client facility and pharmacy staff, primarily through email.
- Utilize various applications (myQlink, OmniCenter) to obtain reports.
- Maintain accurate information at each ADS (Automated Dispensing System) (quantity and expiration date).
- Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.
- Replace potentially expiring inventory.
- Restock depleted inventory.
- Pull and pack medications for daily routes.
- Code controlled substances, when applicable.
- Perform monthly audits (cycle count).
- Prepare standard documentation and reports to include discrepancies, expense reports, and others as directed.
- Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- NJ Pharmacy Technician Registration Required, in process or willing to obtain after hire.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year experience in long-term care preferred).
- Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred.
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
- Availability and flexibility to work after hours when needed during peak times.
- Ability to physically perform light lifting.
- Willingness to drive long distances in the tri-state regions (NJ, NY, PA, CT).
Qualifications
