Pharmacy Technician 2nd shift

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot Paxit packaging and dispensing equipment.
• Set up packaging lots and follow inventory schedules.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment.
• Replenish supplies across packaging, dispensing, and staging areas.
• Respond quickly to equipment faults and workflow issues.
• Use systems like Paxit Manager and Framework for order tracking.
• Perform audits, packaging scans, and short-fill checks.
• Stage and tote prescriptions with accurate labeling.
• Assist with bulk dispensing, labeling, and “owes” processing.
• Communicate delays and inventory needs to the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the MD State Board of Pharmacy is required (good standing).
• Minimum of one (1) year working in a long-term care pharmacy preferred but not required.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong computer skills.
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology and drug knowledge.
• Mastery of math and analytical skills, with a focus on calculations.
• Demonstrates strong teamwork skills by actively contributing to group efforts, communicating openly, and supporting colleagues to achieve shared goals.
• Thrives in a dynamic environment by quickly adjusting to changing priorities, new tasks, and evolving business needs with a positive attitude.
• Consistently arrives on time, meets deadlines, and maintains dependable attendance, ensuring steady support for team and business operations.
