Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense inpatient medications under pharmacist supervision.

  • Prepare IV admixtures and sterile products following safety protocols.
  • Adhere to regulatory and quality assurance standards for inpatient pharmacy.
  • Monitor and address medication safety issues and reporting adverse events.
  • Maintain accurate medication inventory and manage stock levels.
  • Document all dispensing activities in electronic health records with precision.
  • Collaborate with nursing and medical teams to optimize patient care.
  • Participate in continuous learning to stay updated on new therapies and guidelines.
  • Support performance metrics by accurately recording turnaround times and throughput.
  • Aid in workflow optimization to improve efficiency and patient flow.

Requirements

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician with inpatient hospital experience.
  • Accurate medication order verification and discrepancy resolution.
  • Sterile compounding for IV admixtures with GMP/safety compliance.
  • Adhere to regulatory standards (JCAHO, USP 797/800) and QA processes.
  • Monitor medication safety, report adverse events promptly.
  • Document dispensing activities in electronic health records with precision.
  • Collaborate with nursing and medical teams to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and manage stock levels for inpatient needs.
  • Commit to continuous learning on new therapies and guidelines.
  • Support and track performance metrics (turnaround times, throughput).
  • Contribute to workflow optimization and patient flow improvements.
