Pharmacy Tech Trainee PRN
Under the direct supervision of the pharmacy department director, managers, and preceptors and program instructors, the Pharmacy Technician Trainee will complete the requirements of the Pharmacy Technician Training Program to become eligible to apply to the Board of Pharmacy and become a registered pharmacy technician.
Responsibilities
- Process, compound, and prepare medications upon receiving medication orders from physicians or other qualified practitioners
- Fill and deliver drug requisitions received from patient care areas
- Repackage medications
- Conduct patient billing
- Restock and order supplies
- Assist in the delivery of medication to patient care areas
The Pharmacy Technician Trainee will not have responsibilities or access to controlled substances.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician License must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- No prior experience required
