Position Summary

Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and managing pharmacy operations.

What you'll do...

  • Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware.
  • Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise.
  • Maintains the Pharmacy area by handling claims and returns, utilizing equipment for merchandising functions, and completing paperwork.
  • Maintains prescription fulfillment by processing third-party insurance claims, scanning illegible images, and alerting patients to inventory issues.
  • Provides patient/member service by assisting the pharmacist, processing prescription orders, and resolving issues.
  • Enters prescription data into pharmacy software, reads prescriptions, and creates or modifies patient/member records.
  • Fills prescriptions by retrieving orders, counting, pouring, measuring, or weighing medications, and operating scanning equipment.
  • Verifies and enters patient information into the TaSCO system, retrieves prescriptions, and completes documentation.
  • Completes work assignments by following policies, data, and resources, and adapting to changes.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by implementing action plans and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Serves customers and members by delivering results, balancing short and long-term priorities, and considering the impact on team performance.
  • Strives for excellence by displaying curiosity, taking calculated risks, and demonstrating courage and resilience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, including minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) within 9 months of job entry.
