Responsibilities
- Assists the pharmacist in the procurement, distribution, documentation, and compounding of drugs, solutions, and equipment.
- Familiarizes oneself with dosages and volumes of medications and solutions for infants, children, adolescents, and the elderly.
- Prepares unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding solutions for critical care and OR satellite areas.
- Maintains adequate stock levels in assigned areas.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- No prior experience required
- Preferred hospital pharmacy experience
- Preferred IV admixture experience
- Preferred IV chemotherapy preparation experience
- PHRMTech-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician certification upon hire
- PTCB Certification preferred
