Pharmacy Tech IV - PRN, Variable

About the role

This position is responsible for the admixtures of medications to IV solutions, preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in the critical care and OR satellite areas. It also involves maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas and working with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practices.

• Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas
• Functioning in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations
• Collaborating with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practices
• Performing duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred
• PHRMTech-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician certification upon hire
• PTCB Certification preferred
