About the role

The Pharmacy Tech II in our Specialty Pharmacy plays a critical role in supporting the complex and personalized medication needs of patients managing chronic and rare conditions. This specialized role ensures the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of high-cost, high-touch medications, directly impacting patient access and treatment adherence.

You will meticulously process specialty medication prescriptions, manage prior authorizations, and coordinate benefits verification with insurance providers. You'll expertly communicate with patients regarding their therapy, dosage, and delivery schedules, and assist pharmacists with patient follow-up and clinical documentation.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma, or GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent
• Required 1+ years retail or specialty pharmacy technician experience
• Active Pharmacy Technician License in good standing in the state(s) in which the employee works, if required by state law
• Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT
