About the Role

The Pharmacy Supervisor will oversee sterile compounding operations in Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell, lead a team of approximately ten colleagues, and support clinical development across the Cancer Institute. This role involves onboarding new pharmacists and technicians, collaborating with Cancer Institute leadership, and contributing to the workflow designs and construction of new freestanding Cancer Institutes in Boise and Caldwell. Relocation and sign-on bonus available.

Responsibilities

  • Clinically train new pharmacists.
  • Assist in developing and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures; review other disciplines' policies or protocols as needed.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the site.
  • Provide staff supervision for current and future pharmacists.
  • Assist in employee evaluations.
  • Facilitate the VOICE system.
  • Manage the establishment of new drugs on formulary and review existing formulary for possible deletions.
  • Update physicians and hospital staff on formulary changes.
  • Identify and provide educational programs to maintain staff competency.
  • Manage pharmaceutical supply situations and product shortages.
  • Coordinate regulatory requirements for clinical activities.
  • Oversee the department's clinical quality assurance activities and documentation.
  • Act as an on-call clinical specialist for consultations and staff support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
  • Must be licensed by the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist.
  • Must be licensed in Oregon within 90 days of hire.
  • Pharmacy residency preferred.
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist preferred.
  • Management/supervisory or clinical program coordination experience preferred.

Schedule

Four 10-hour days per week with three days off each week. No nights, weekends, or holidays.
