Pharmacy Student Intern

About the role

Safeway, a division of Albertsons Companies, is seeking pharmacy students to join our progressive environment. The internship provides opportunities to enhance pharmacy practice skills through patient counseling, customer service, and various clinical services.

Responsibilities

• Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures
• Provides advice and consultation to customers and healthcare professionals regarding prescription knowledge, drug therapy, and health-related products and concerns
• Implements company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability
• Participates in clinical services

Requirements/Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy
• Valid state intern license if required by the state of employment
• Adaptable to changes in schedule and work priorities
• Able to cooperate with others and work as part of a team

Pay

The pay range is $21.00 to $24.00 per hour, with starting rates varying based on factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
