Pharmacy Student Intern

About the role

Safeway, a division of Albertsons Companies, is seeking pharmacy students and pharmacists who want to make a positive impact on patient care and their community. The internship provides opportunities to gain practical pharmacy skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures
• Provides advice and consultation to customers and healthcare professionals regarding prescription knowledge, drug therapy, and health-related products and concerns
• Implements company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability
• Participates in clinical services as directed

Requirements/Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy
• Valid state intern license if required by the state of employment
• Ability to adapt to changes in schedule specifications and work priorities
• Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team

Pay

The pay range is $21.00 to $24.00 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
