Pharmacy Student Intern

About the role

ACME, a division of Albertsons Companies, is seeking a pharmacy intern who can build meaningful relationships with patients and make a positive impact on their health care. Interns will gain valuable pharmacy practice skills in a progressive environment that supports world-class patient care.

Responsibilities

• Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures
• Performs patient counseling, customer service, over the counter medications, immunization and vaccinations, MTM, point of care testing, and disease state management
• Offers advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding prescription knowledge, drug therapy, and health related products and concerns
• Implements company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability
• Participates in clinical services

Requirements/Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy
• Holds a valid state intern license if required by the state of employment
• Adapts to changes in schedule specifications and work priorities as needed
• Cooperates with others and works as part of a team

Pay

The pay range is $21.00 to $24.00 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
