About the role
MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Relations Manager to lead the Puerto Rico pharmacy network, including Retail, Long Term Care, Mail Order, Specialty, Home Infusion, and/or Indian Tribe networks. This is an internal and external client-facing position requiring excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the Puerto Rico pharmacy network to ensure adherence to contractual documents, PBM client business requirements, and state/federal regulatory requirements.
- Execute strategic contracting initiatives and rate negotiations, overseeing the pharmacy enrollment process.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to support the Puerto Rico pharmacy network and clients.
- Identify and provide pharmacy education on pricing, credentialing, attestations, and other network-related activities.
- Deliver high-impact presentations to internal and external leadership and executives.
- Maintain oversight of the pharmacy network data to ensure its quality.
- Regularly visit pharmacies to forge connections and build trust, identifying key pharmacies for strategic partnerships.
- Research and resolve complex network issues, including rate discrepancies and conflicts.
- Partner with other MedImpact business units to effectively resolve customer issues and inquiries, implement new business, and design solutions that meet mutual needs.
- Promptly respond to service failures, resolve issues, and escalate concerns as necessary.
- Support new product offerings and strategic marketing efforts.
- Actively participate as a key member of cross-functional workgroups, teams, and committees as assigned.
- Develop and distribute pharmacy communications to meet internal and client requests.
- Attend industry conferences and client events.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or equivalent with 5-7 years of related experience in PBM, pharmacy, and network management.
- Computer skills: SQL, Golden, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Project coordination experience within a corporate environment, coordinating multiple teams with constant deadlines and driving project processes.
- Strong written and in-person communication skills, using clear, simple language that all stakeholders can understand.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and follow-through.
- Ability to understand and interpret contract language and negotiate favorable contract terms.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
