Job Summary

Ensures that all hospital medications and related supplies are maintained at adequate levels to meet hospital demands and consistent with formulary, turnover, and budgetary goals. Orders drugs from wholesaler or direct from manufacturer according to departmental specifications.

Responsibilities

• Orders drugs from wholesaler or direct from manufacturer according to departmental specifications
• Maintains inventory levels to meet hospital demands
• Serves on pharmacy committees as needed
• Participates in the development and implementation of new drug policies and procedures
• Assists with the management of drug costs within budgetary guidelines
• Monitors drug utilization and participates in the review of drug therapy
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure medication availability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
• Current license to practice pharmacy in state
• Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
