About the role
Provide professional pharmacy services, including filling prescriptions, counseling patients and supervising pharmacy technicians. Ensure all services comply with professional standards and applicable statutes and regulations.

Requirements

- Strong math skills (calculate discounts, proportions, percentages)
- Adequate physical abilities to perform tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 lbs, and using close vision, depth perception, and adjusting eye focus
Qualifications
- Minimum Board of Pharmacy license
- Aptitude for teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction
- Ability to provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Knowledge of local, state and federal health and civil codes
- Ability to interpret prescriptions and enter data into a computer system
- Ability to counsel patients over the phone and in person regarding medications
- Ability to consult with prescribers on drug therapy matters
- Ability to follow efficiency and accuracy procedures when filling prescriptions
- Desired APhA Immunization Certified
- Ability to administer immunizations under defined protocols
- Ability to provide direct patient clinical services, including patient coaching services and medication therapy management
- Ability to monitor and maintain patient profiles
- Ability to monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate service levels
- Ability to perform daily operational duties under the direction of the pharmacy manager
- Ability to follow department policies, procedures and best practices for all pharmacy operations
- Ability to ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations
- Ability to ensure adherence to merchandising, labor control, expense and supply controls, loss prevention and maintenance rules
- Ability to report illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
- Ability to comply with and reinforce food safety, sanitation and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations
- Ability to identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
