Pharmacy Patient Advocate - Retail Transplant

Prior Authorizations

Responsible for working directly with patients to determine eligibility for medication financial assistance programs; ensures patients receive timely access to their prescribed medications; and participates in special projects as needed.

Enrollment

Enrolls under/uninsured patients to appropriate patient assistance programs.

Liaison

Acts as liaison between insurance company, patients, and physicians' offices. Communicates information updating patients and providers on the status of completing the prescription fill.

Documentation

Maintains documentation relative to the job.

Professional Development

Assumes responsibility for professional development and continued education.

Other Duties

Performs other related duties as required.
