Pharmacy Paramedic

Required Qualifications

• Vocational/Educational Requirement: Requires High School Diploma or GED / HSE and formal training, special courses, or self-education equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education or specialized advanced training in EMS, paramedical, pharmacy, or a closely related field. Associates degree is preferred.
• Experience: In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of one-year full time (or equivalent) Advanced Life Support experience at the EMT-Paramedic level with an emergency medical services agency (911 response).
• Special Certifications and Licenses: Requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards. Current Virginia Paramedic certification.
• Special Requirement(s): Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Emergency operations support work and work locations may be outside of normal job duties.
