Responsibilities
Manage and develop a pharmacy team to ensure safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
Oversee pharmacy team during bench shifts, focusing on improving performance measures through coaching and follow-up.
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by adhering to pharmacy workflow procedures and maintaining safety guardrails.
Show empathy and genuine care, coaching the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate care and resolve insurance and medication issues.
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations, and support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize.
Contribute to positive patient experiences by managing inventory according to best practices and protecting cold chain products.
Onboard new pharmacy team members and ensure all trainees are on track for timely completion of required training and/or licensure.
Maintain compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and escalate issues as necessary.
Manage a healthy talent pipeline and ensure cross-trained colleagues are on track for required training and licensure.
Support staff pharmacists and DPSs in managing performance and delivering annual performance reviews.
Ensure pharmacy operations are fully compliant with state regulations at all times.
Build a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion, fostering a psychologically safe environment for the pharmacy team.
Stay current with relevant clinical and technical skills to support patient safety and comply with industry standards.
Provide pharmacist-delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services, empowering the pharmacy team to provide holistic care.
Understand and comply with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and ethical principles.
Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Skills
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in using technology and systems to support pharmacy operations is also required.
Benefits
The typical pay range for this role is $65.00 - $85.00 per hour or $134,000 - $179,000 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and more.
