About the role
The Pharmacy Manager at Genoa Healthcare plays a crucial role in serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Operations, this individual oversees the pharmacy’s operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, and collaborates with clinic partners to meet their needs.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive consumer and clinic partner experience, building strong relationships and proactively addressing their needs.
- Partner with clinical staff to support their clinical outcomes and educate patients on medication usage, side effects, and personal questions.
- Counsel and educate patients on the proper use of medications, adverse effects, and schedules.
- Maintain compliance with policies and standards, including state and federal laws.
- Perform wellness services such as immunizations and flu shots.
- Drive financial profitability and identify opportunities for growth.
- Motivate, develop, and coach pharmacy staff to enhance their performance and service delivery.
- Build a supportive team environment that fosters compassion and aligns with Genoa Healthcare’s core values.
- Actively recruit and retain top talent for the pharmacy roles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- Current pharmacist license in the state of Indiana.
- Certified immunizer or willing to become one within 3 months of hire.
- Authorization to administer long-acting injectables or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
- 3+ years of pharmacy leadership experience.
- Access to reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
