Responsibilities

• Develops and implements processes to ensure staff competence and maintain high standards of care.
• Directs the activities of staff and monitors performance to enhance clinical and operational services.
• Supervises staff and ensures adherence to policies and procedures.
• Works with the administrative team to develop and maintain performance improvement indicators and programs.
• Assists in the preparation of budgets and monitors financial indicators.
• Maintains effective communication and working relationships with healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Current license as required by state board where services will be provided (MD: Active Pharmacist License through the Maryland Board of Pharmacy, WV: Active Pharmacist License through the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy, PA: Active Pharmacist License through the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy).
• Experience in health-system pharmacy administration residency programs or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of pharmacy administrative experience or five (5) years of pharmacist practice experience.

Qualifications

• Master of Business Administration, Master’s of Health Administration, Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration, or Master in Public Health.
• Pharmacy Specialty Certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS).
