Pharmacy Manager
About the role
The Pharmacy Manager will oversee the overall management of the Specialty Infusion Pharmacy in Dublin, OH. Responsibilities include directing pharmacy and operations functions, providing compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services, preparing prescriptions, conducting assessments, interfacing with physicians, and managing direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Directs pharmacy and operations functions to ensure effective operations.
- Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards, USP 800 standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
- Provides and/or oversees compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services prescribed by physicians or other mid-level practitioners and authorized medical personnel in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensures that all pharmacy operations, practices and procedures meet all licensing and standards requirements established by local, state and federal agencies.
- Prepares prescriptions, solutions, and medications accurately and promptly.
- Counsels patients on medication use and provides education on disease management.
- Participates in the preparation, distribution, security and maintenance of controlled substances.
- Interfaces with physicians and referral sources as required.
- Serves as a drug information resource to the sales force and participates in team selling and sales support.
- Completes all necessary managerial tasks for direct reports including hiring, training, holding meetings, addressing performance issues, and approving payroll.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Administrative On-call
- Specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience preferred
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D), or R.Ph. with appropriate clinical experience
- Additional licensure may be required according to state
- Post graduate training
- Minimum 7 years Pharmacist experience, preferably direct compounding
- Efficiency in CPR +/Care Tend is desired
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
